Ninja 2 : Shadow Of A Tear American martial artist Casey Bowman settled at the Koga Ninja Dojo in the United States. He was also married Namiko Takeda, who is pregnant with the first of their children. Two muggers who wield knives assault Casey while he is shopping in town for a necklace. Casey later that night is out shopping for groceries. However, when he discovers that thieves have taken his wallet, Casey rushes home to find Namiko dead with marks of a weapon made of barbed wire on her neck. On the day prior to the funeral, the dojo is visited by a former student , Nakabara, who offers Casey to join his dojo in Thailand to ease his sorrow However, Casey refuses the offer. Casey remembers the fighting manner of the muggers who they encountered, and decides to head to the Azuma Dojo to discover their locations and kill them in the dark street.
Casey who is one of Nakabara’s students, follows Nakabara’s advice and goes to Bangkok. He suddenly loses control and begins to attack Lucas by slapping him with the boken. Nakabara asks Casey to be calm and invites him to do the firewalk. Casey is disturbed by the memories of Namiko and stops half way through. Nakabara reminds Casey to keep his emotions in check and asks him to do the firewalk exercise. Isamu was defeated by Takeda in the battle.
Casey goes to Myanmar along with Mike the Indian taxi driver. However, Casey uses his strength and then flies Goro down before he dies.
Casey discovers that Nakabara killed Lucas and Namiko. This revealed a room that was filled with antiquated objects. Both continue to fight inside the room with weapons, with Casey slashing Nakabara at the midsection, and Nakabara striking Casey’s left shoulder with his wakizashi. Nakabara lunges toward Casey and Casey, but Casey can grab the manriki and wraps it around the neck of Nakabara to end his life. Hiroshi, a student of the dojo, later was informed by Casey about Nakabara’s motives. Hiroshi, realizing that such actions could damage the image of the dojo, says that the incident did not happen and bids Casey goodbye. Casey goes back to Japan and drops Namiko’s pendant into the pond. Casey’s friend has finally found peace.
